Yin Yoga utilizes long, slow supported floor poses to enable us to access deep, dense areas like the hips and low back. This quiet but powerful practice also has the all-important effect of activating the healing division of the nervous system – the parasympathetic response.

When the stress response of the nervous system is disarmed and the body is skillfully coaxed into opening, radical shifts are possible. These changes take place not just in our physical body but also in the more subtle aspects of our being affecting our energy levels, emotional responses, intellectual insights and conscious awareness.

Yin Yoga is suitable for all levels and is easily modifiable so that you work at your own edge. This ‘yin-tensive’ will utilize partner poses to assist in learning to ‘feel your bones’ and drop-in to the transformative connective tissue response.
